Cats and Keyboard

Imagine a late evening – you are working at your computer and urgently need to finish your work: write an article, complete a report, finish a presentation. Or you’ve simply decided to distract yourself from daily worries and get through another level of your favorite game. And at the most critical moment, your cat gracefully jumps onto the table and lies down on the keyboard right in front of your nose. He doesn’t care that you are upset! And getting him off is not so easy – he immediately starts to hiss and bite as soon as you try to push him away or pick him up.

If this happens to you, then you know very well that until you pet the cat, he won’t leave you alone!

Cats behave the same way when you are reading a book or magazine, or your child is sitting at the desk doing homework – the cheeky cat lies down on newspapers, magazines, and notebooks.

The truth is simple – your pet wants your attention! He wants you to notice him! The quickest way to get rid of a pesky household member is to give him what he came for: a little affection. You just need to take him in your lap and scratch behind his ear or belly for just a couple of minutes! It won’t hurt you, and the cat will quickly calm down and most likely leave on his own. If he doesn’t plan to leave in the near future (it happens too), you just need to lower him to the floor. Quite possibly more than once. But eventually, this trick will work.

Try to understand your pets, and they will reciprocate!
