Very Delicious Charlotte

This is a recipe for a simple but very tasty Charlotte.

The base for this delicious homemade pie is quite a simple sponge cake. If you suddenly find there are no apples at home, but you crave something tasty, you can simply bake the sponge cake and use condensed milk or sour cream with sugar as the cream. In this case, the amount of sugar in the batter should be adjusted to taste.

So, the recipe itself:

3-4 large apples (actually, you can never have too many apples in a Charlotte 🙂 )

3 eggs

1 cup of sugar

1 cup of flour

1 teaspoon of baking powder (if you don’t have it, that’s okay)

Powdered sugar for decoration

Preparation:

Wash the apples, peel them, remove the core, and cut them into random pieces.

Sponge Cake:

Separate the egg whites from the yolks. In a bowl, beat the egg whites with 0.5 cup of sugar. Add the yolks one by one to the egg whites along with the remaining sugar.

Add the sifted flour and baking powder to the egg mixture. Mix thoroughly until you have a uniform mass.

Pour the chopped apples into the resulting batter and gently mix.

Grease the form with oil and pour in the batter.

Bake in the oven at 200 degrees for about 40 minutes. The baking time depends on your oven.

Remove the finished Charlotte, place it on a plate, and sprinkle with powdered sugar.
